Information and its purpose
If you email us, we receive your email address, name if provided, message and attachments. These are used to respond, assess story suggestions, communicate about coverage and review corrections or enquiries. Providing information is voluntary, but without enough detail we may be unable to respond or review a request. Only send information you are authorised to share, and avoid unnecessary sensitive details.
The current Get Featured form prepares a text file on your device. Pressing “Save nomination” does not submit the form contents to our editor. If you subsequently email the file, it becomes part of your correspondence with us.
Website traffic, analytics and cookies
Hosting and delivery providers, including Vercel, may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, requested pages, browser information and error logs to deliver and secure the website.
The website includes Google Analytics integration. When configured, it can use cookies and identifiers to measure page visits, interactions, device and browser information, referral sources and approximate location. Google processes this information under its own terms and privacy practices. See how Google uses information from partner sites. Browser settings can block or delete cookies; Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These controls do not prevent essential hosting logs.
Providers, publication and external links
Hosting, analytics and email providers may process information as part of delivering their services, potentially on systems outside Malaysia. An editorial story may contain information provided by its subjects or obtained from public sources. Published information is accessible to the public. Please tell our editor if any material you send is confidential or not intended for publication.
Social media, WhatsApp, map and other external links lead to services with their own privacy policies. Remote resources such as fonts and images may also involve requests to external providers. Information necessary to meet a legal obligation or respond to a lawful request may be disclosed where required.
Retention and security
Retention depends on the purpose of the information, ongoing editorial correspondence, correction records and applicable legal requirements. Provider logs and analytics records are also subject to provider settings and policies. Contact us to ask about a particular record. No website, email service or method of storage can guarantee absolute security; do not email passwords, payment details or identity documents unless specifically necessary and an appropriate method has been agreed.
Your choices and requests
You can ask about information relating to you, request access or correction, raise a concern, or request deletion or withdrawal of consent where applicable. Email editor@betulbetul.com with enough detail to identify the request. We may need to verify your identity. Requests are considered subject to applicable law, editorial context and any lawful retention requirements; deletion of every record cannot always be guaranteed.
For a privacy concern involving a child, a parent or guardian can contact the same address. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information about children.

Maklumat dan tujuan penggunaannya
Apabila anda menghantar e-mel, kami menerima alamat e-mel, nama jika diberikan, mesej dan lampiran untuk menjawab pertanyaan, menilai cadangan cerita, berkomunikasi tentang liputan serta menyemak pembetulan. Pemberian maklumat adalah sukarela, tetapi maklumat yang tidak mencukupi mungkin menghalang kami daripada menjawab atau menyemak permintaan. Hantar hanya maklumat yang anda berhak kongsikan dan elakkan butiran sensitif yang tidak diperlukan.
Borang Get Featured semasa menyediakan fail teks pada peranti anda. Butang “Save nomination” tidak menghantar kandungan borang kepada editor. Jika anda kemudian menghantar fail melalui e-mel, fail itu menjadi sebahagian daripada surat-menyurat anda.
